The US Box Lacrosse Association (USBOXLA) is the largest box lacrosse organization in the United States. Founded in 2010, we sanction tournaments, certify referees and run the US Box Lacrosse Championships for boys and girls.
What we do
- Sanction tournaments. Around 40 events a year carry the USBOXLA shield, run by partner tournament directors across the country.
- Train and assign referees. Every sanctioned game is worked by referees certified through the USBOXLA Academy.
- Run the championships. Five regional qualifiers lead to the US Box Lacrosse Championships in Utica, New York.
- Keep the record. Membership, rosters, digital game sheets and stats give every player a profile that follows them from event to event.
- Set the rules. The official USBOXLA Rule and Situational Book is updated for 2027.
Box lacrosse
Lacrosse began as the Creator’s Game of the Haudenosaunee and other Indigenous nations. Box lacrosse is the indoor game, played in a rink with boards, a shot clock and five runners and a goalie per side. It is fast, physical and full of skill, and it makes better lacrosse players of every kind.
