For players interested in being considered for Team USBOXLA East, registration is now officially open.
Last year, it was announced that for the first time in USBOXLA history, Team USBOXLA will be split into two elite rosters – Team USBOXLA East and Team USBOXLA West.
Due to overwhelming demand every year for a place on these elite national-level teams, USBOXLA has doubled the amount of roster opportunities, now allowing high-level American box lacrosse players to represent their region – East & West – at separate tournaments in Canada.
Team USBOXLA East will be competing at the inaugural USBOXLA Border Wars held at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario, while Team USBOXLA West will be taking part in the Trevor Wingrove Memorial Tournament in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The Team USBOXLA program has been attending the Wingrove Memorial since 2016, last year becoming the first American team to medal at the prestigious event when both the Pee Wee and Bantam team captured silver medals.

Players from the following states can submit their name and details to be considered for Team USBOXLA East: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
In addition to Border Wars, players selected for Team USBOXLA East will also take part in a training camp in Oakville, Ontario prior to the tournament, and compete against Team USBOXLA West at the USBOXLA Nationals.
Players will be selected through the registration information provided, evaluation by USBOXLA staff at events already held in 2019/2020, and further correspondence with their club coaches.
USBOXLA has also selected charter member, Resolute Lacrosse, as the managing club for this year’s Team USBOXLA East roster. The Ohio-based club hosts a series of USBOXLA-sanctioned events that attracts top American talent from throughout the eastern region, and has experienced considered success themselves at the youth, high school, and collegiate-level over the past year.
