The best American youth and collegiate box lacrosse talent will be attending this year’s NCBS College Classic and USBOXLA Nationals, and now arguably the best lacrosse player on the planet will be there too.

The US Box Lacrosse Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Toronto Rock (NLL) and Ohio Machine (MLL) standout, Tom Schreiber, who will be hosting box lacrosse clinics and entering teams at the College Classic in Denver and USBOXLA Nationals in Huntington Beach this summer.

“It has been great to see the growth of box lacrosse in the US,” said Schreiber, who after just two years in the NLL, has cemented himself as one of the league’s top players. “It is vital that players are taught and exposed to true box lacrosse. USBOXLA has done a tremendous job of providing that experience.”

Schreiber will be coaching a group of free agent collegiate-aged players at the College Classic, a team made up of top American talent not presently playing in the CCBLL or OCBLL. The tournament, played during the CCBLL’s Morrow Cup weekend in Denver, will consist of four local teams, additional college-aged teams from across the country, and two free agent groups - the second to be coached by former 10-year NLL pro and current Arizona State University coach, Ben Prepchuk.

A shooting clinic hosted by Schrebier will also be available to players through LXTC. Date/time and registration details will be made available soon.

“Unfortunately, I wasn't exposed to box lacrosse at a young age,” added Schreiber. “If I were, I would have most definitely attended as many events like this one as possible.”

The 2017 NLL Rookie of the Year and MLL MVP will be doing just that when he brings multiple Long Island-based teams to this year’s USBOXLA Nationals in Huntington Beach (August 3-5), an event that will host upwards of 100 US, Canadian and Iroquois teams

“We are looking forward to competing in high-level true box lacrosse,” said Schreiber. “I think it will be a great opportunity for our players to learn and improve. I also hope the players will be able to take advantage of being around great coaches from all over North America and tap into a growing USBOXLA community.”

In addition to having his teams compete, Schreiber will also provide U18 Team USBOXLA (Team America) a pre-Nationals training camp on August 2. This will mark the first time the U18s attend the Nationals, playing in both the highly competitive High School Elite tournament and all-star game that weekend.
