Goalie Academy

Dallas Eliuk with Team USBOXLA Goaltenders

"The biggest gap between Canadian and American box players is the goalie position which happens to be the most important position in the game."

- Dallas Eliuk

Currently there's hundreds of American goalies playing box in the USA and having a great time doing it, but they don't get the amount of shots or the instruction that their Canadian counterparts do.  Elite level instruction is exactly what is needed to develop a new generation of elite level US goaltenders.

At the pro level, the last American born goalie that logged any substantial minutes in the NLL was Erik Miller...way back in 2006.

The box goalie position has simply been been dominated by Canadian and First Nations players.  It's time to change that.

BUT I'm only interested in playing field lacrosse in college not playing in the NLL.   I like to play box goalie as a secondary sport only.

WELL consider this at the highest level.  Every 4 years World Lacrosse hosts the World Championship.  This is field lacrosse, and the last American goalie to be named to the exclusive ALL-WORLD team was Trevor Tierney back in 2002.  From 2006 on, each of the ALL-WORLD goalies have been Canadian box goalies who also play field.  So if you are serious about field lacrosse goaltending, you should get serious about elite box lacrosse development.  You'll be an early adopter and you'll have a competitive advantage over your field first piers.

USBOXLA is proud to introduce the USBOXLA Goalie Academy with Dallas Eliuk.
