NLL and Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame Goaltender Dallas Eliuk
Dallas Eliuk with Team USBOXLA Goaltenders
- Dallas Eliuk
Currently there's hundreds of American goalies playing box in the USA and having a great time doing it, but they don't get the amount of shots or the instruction that their Canadian counterparts do. Elite level instruction is exactly what is needed to develop a new generation of elite level US goaltenders.
At the pro level, the last American born goalie that logged any substantial minutes in the NLL was Erik Miller...way back in 2006.
The box goalie position has simply been been dominated by Canadian and First Nations players. It's time to change that.
I am excited to work with goalies over an extended period of time to teach them how to play and excel in this position. The BC Tour is the only time in the calendar when we have significant time to develop future stars.
